Dean Thomas is KIngsley Shacklebolt's son
I just go back from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 2 and this is the only good thing that I carried away from the movie. Now we just have to wait for JK Rowling to confirm it!

As interesting a theory as that is, Rowling has made it clear that Dean Thomas' father was murdered by Death Eaters for refusing to ally himself with them and the Dark Lord. Hence, Dean's mother remarried when his father fled the family to protect them (though she did not know his reasoning for this); this is why Dean THINKS he's muggleborn. He's actually a halfblood.
